The gemstones are particularly popular,” states Fem Bolilan, the gracious store manager who will assist you if you are spoilt for choice and can’t decide.
Why was it selected?
Each item has an element of originality. There is a variety of individual, exquisite collections like the V&A replica costume jewellery. Characters from Greek mythology accompany art deco, bronze finish statuettes. Sporting sculptures fill a glass case while game sets of mahjong, backgammon and solitaire wait to be played. If it’s something special you’re after, you won’t leave empty handed.
What we like?
An enchanting display of intricately designed fairytale sculptures is totally captivating like a scene from ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. You won’t resist the embellished musical boxes and even if you are teetotaller you’ll still yearn for the tartan hip flask.
What to look for.
A fascinating collection of elaborate, stone encrusted dragons are in great demand by teen’ boys apparently. There is also a whole bookcase dedicated to keepsakes for a new baby; another holds an assortment of innovative books on subjects such as the tarot, reiki, crystals and self healing if that’s your interest. Be assured it’s a store you’ll want to visit more than once.
